Step-by-step

Analyzer features

To keep track of all the channels in your group, smart:EQ 3 offers a comprehensive set of analyzer features. Turn the analyzer on by clicking the label in the top right corner. If you’re working inside a group, you can enable color-coded analyzers for every instance.

Smart states

smart:EQ 3’s state panel has received an overhaul. Now, all of the EQ settings are saved in a state – including standard filters. Activate a state by clicking on it. Dragging will copy the settings from one state to the other.

Rename instances in Group View

The group view allows you to rename every instance in your project – even instances in other groups. On some DAWs, each new instance of smart:EQ 3 will automatically have the channel name.

Selective bypass

For easy A/B listening, we’ve added a new selective bypass function. Click on the label beneath the bypass button to toggle between “all”, “smart:filter” and “EQ bands” – bypassing respectively the entire plug in, the smart:filter or the standard filters. The same logic applies to the reset button.

Set parameters

Set precise values for almost any parameter in smart:EQ 3 by clicking and typing. A double click usually resets a value to its default.

Settings menu

Set parameters on both a global and per-instance level in the settings menu. Here, you are also able to download updates and see your license information.
